Pearman stretches lead
Windy conditions sent scores soaring in the second round of the Bermuda Professional Golfers' Association Championships at Tucker's Point yesterday.
But at the end of the day there was a familiar leader - defending champion Dwayne Pearman.
The Ocean View pro and multiple winner of the annual event fired 73 on the opening day and followed with a 78 yesterday to stretch his lead to seven shots over Bentley Gibbons who followed his first round of 78 with an 80.
Pearman stands on 151 with Gibbons on 158 and Chris Smith (78-81) in third on 159.
Andrew Trott was the only player to match Pearman yesterday with the only other sub-80 round of 78. But after a disastrous 88 in round one, he still trails the leader by 15 shots.
Today the championships switch to Mid Ocean Club where the final round will also be played tomorrow.
