Corporate Relay deadline

Today is the deadline for the rescheduled Corporate Community Road Relay, slated to take place this Sunday.

The 2002 edition of the long-standing event was postponed last October when it clashed for the second successive year with the Bank of Bermuda Triathlon. On that occasion just four entries had been received.

President of Bermuda Track and Field Association (BTFA) Judy Simmons said yesterday that entries were being collected by race director Pat Lake and that she didn't know yet what public response was to their delayed attempt to hold the event.

The Corporate Relay was once considered one of the Island's most popular road races, attracting between 300 and 400 runners representing local and exempt companies, hotels and a variety of Government departments.
