St.David's 0 St.George's 1

St.George's secured maximum points against neighbours St.David's at Lord's yesterday.

A 56th minute strike from Brent Minors was all the visitors required to come away from this derby with all of the spoils.

Minors converted a powerful header at the back post after the Islanders' defence stood frozen at a corner kick.

St.George's' win, however, could also be attributed to the heroics of ‘keeper Troy Hall.

Hall, who also plays for the senior national team, made two spectacular late saves which denied St.David's at least a share of the points.

The Islanders threw everything at their opponents in the last 20 minutes of play with second-half substitute OJ Pitcher providing the impetus once thrust into his team's attack.

However, not even Pitcher's solid play could turn the tide as St.George's successfully weathered the storm and managed to keep their hosts at bay.

Prospect 0 PHC 4

Unbeaten PHC Zebras kept in touch with fellow front runners Somerset at the top of the First Division standings, thanks to a convincing win over Prospect at Police Field yesterday.

Zebras, however, encountered stubborn resistance from a determined Prospect side who held their own for the first 45 minutes, leaving the teams scoreless at the break.

But the home team's luck finally ran out shortly after the restart as PHC went ahead courtesy of an own goal.

Jahnai Raynor then doubled the visitors' lead before additional tallies from Dawud Tucker and a Corey Dowling penalty extended the match well beyond the reach of Prospect, last season's beaten FA Cup finalists.

Wolves 1 Somerset 2

A second-half strike from Damon Ming directly from a corner saw Somerset maintain their unbeaten win streak for the season.

Ming's piece of magic proved to be the straw which broke the back of a Wolves side who stunned their high-flying opponents early in the first half with a goal by former Trojan David (Berker) Burchall.

Wolves desperately tried to hold onto their lead but fell short as the ever proficient Dion Stovell levelled shortly after the restart and Ming notched what proved to be the winner mid-way through the half.

Paget 0 Ireland Rangers 1

Ireland Rangers beat Paget 1-0 at White Hill Field thanks to a 61st-minute goal by Mathyo Simons.
