David Bascome's Harrisburg Heat crashed to two consecutive defeats to send their season into freefall at the weekend.
On Saturday they lost 13-7 to the Baltimore Blast in the Major Indoor Soccer League and then the same team beat them by an even more emphatic scoreline, 18-4, on Sunday night. It was the Heat's ninth defeat in 10 league games.
On Saturday the Heat took a 7-5 lead early in the third period thanks in part to two strikes by Bascome but then it was all Baltimore.
On Sunday the Heat were down 8-0 at the break and did not fare much better afterwards, only Nick Corneli getting on the scoresheet.
