Take a minute to pray. That is what the Men's Fellowship Committee of St. Luke's A.M.E. is asking everyone to do on May 14.

At noon they want everyone to stop what they are doing and pray for 60 seconds before giving thanks to God for all of the blessings He has bestowed upon them.

Claire Bean, vice-president of the St. Luke's board of trustees said there was no significance to the date. The committee came up with the idea after brainstorming during one of their meetings. "They prayed about it and that's what God asked them to do."

The church has sent their message world-wide, spreading their request as far as Asia and Australia.
