Assistant Police Commissioner Carlton Adams yesterday admitted Police were investigating the smuggling of "drugs and what's believed to be a firearm" inside a TV.

Mr. Adams refused to say how or when the TV arrived in Bermuda but it is believed the smuggling operation was discovered last week.

Police sources denied radio reports yesterday that a package containing confiscated drugs has been stolen from them.

But The Royal Gazette understands investigations are underway after a package with unknown contents was stolen from the Air Mail Facility last week which is run by customs.
