The delivery of the third tug handed over to Bermuda has been delayed owing to bad weather in the Atlantic.
The Department of Marine and Ports recently accepted the transfer of the new tug from Southampton, England. The tug was scheduled to arrive in Bermuda this week.
However, the delivery has been postponed until the early part of 2004 when the weather is expected to improve.
The Department said the tug in the meantime was at a dry dock facility, where she was installed and upgraded with communication and navigation equipment required for service in Bermuda.
