Passenger dies after flight is diverted

A suspected German drug mule died in the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital yesterday after his flight from Dominica was diverted to Bermuda.

The 25-year-old man, who has not been named, started having seizures onboard the flight to Frankfurt, Germany on Thursday night and was treated by doctors on board.

It landed here at 7.15 p.m. and he was rushed to intensive care but his condition worsened and he was pronounced dead at 4.30 yesterday morning.

A statement from Police said the Narcotics department is handling the incident after suspect substances were found.
