Traffic Wardens Mrs. Marion Madeiros in city hall parking lot.
A law allowing traffic wardens to issue on-the-spot tickets to motorists for offences including speeding was passed by the Senate yesterday.
Independent Senator Walwyn Hughes questioned whether traffic wardens had the right training for the new powers they will wield under the Traffic Offences Procedure Amendment Act 2006. He said: ?It?s a mess out there. There are bound to be confrontations.?
But Senator Wayne Caines told the Senate traffic wardens would get the necessary training.
