A man was fined $1,000 in Magistrates? Court yesterday after he was found with cannabis in his pack of Marlboro Lights.

On July 18, Police stopped Tristan Codrington, 20, of Boaz Island, Sandys at Woody?s Bar after they smelled the strong smell of cannabis and the man became nervous and agitated when speaking with Police, the court heard. Acting Senior Magistrate Carlisle Greaves was told Police found a packet of Marlboro Lights and inside was a clear plastic twist containing plantlike material that was later found to be 3.1 grams of cannabis.
