Those wondering what would really change under the new Government of Ewart Brown need look no further than the new Ministry of Social Rehabilitation. The new Premier said it would tackle issues of child care, foster care, health care and social assistance which he said required Cabinet attention.

It also takes in the functions of the short-lived Ministry of National Drug Control. Dr. Brown added: ?We can have a so-called prosperous society but if it erodes from beneath we have nothing to talk about.?

Mr. Butler, has been moved from Community Affairs and Sport, to take the job ? but he said he would have preferred Tourism, which stays with Dr. Brown, or to have stayed put.

Mr. Butler said of his new post: ?I am not just calling it the Ministry of Rehabilitation ? ?re? means to do again. I am calling it the Ministry of Rejuvenation.?

The portfolio includes child and family services, financial assistance, social services and drug prevention.
