The United Bermuda Party has picked its conference date - November 22 at the Elbow Beach hotel.

Spokesperson Jamahl Simmons said that the conference, which will be open to the public, will be an all day affair for the first time - normally they last only a few hours.

The keynote speaker will be announced closer to the conference date, he added.

“The theme is ‘Committed to coming together and moving us ahead',” said Mr. Simmons.

“The reason why we've chosen that theme is that was our campaign theme and we are looking for ways to get our platform proposals implemented. We really feel that until something better comes along we would like to pursue these.”
