A wreath-laying ceremony to commemorate those killed on the Causeway during Hurricane Fabian will be one of the focal points of tomorrow's Royal visit by the Earl of Wessex.

The schedule for the visit was finalised yesterday after security checks by an advance party with the whistle-stop tour commencing with a meeting with the Mayor of St. George's Henry Hayward.

He will then stop at Grotto Bay to meet with the families of those lost on September 5.

Later, he will plant a tree at Government House ahead of an awards ceremony there. He will also attend a dinner at Government House in the evening.

On Saturday he will watch the semi-finals of the King Edward VII Gold Cup at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club before taking in the hurricane damage at John Smith's Bay and South Shore Road.

He was also visit Spittal Pond Nature Reserve and the Summerhaven Home for the Disabled.

The Earl, the third son of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, is visiting the Island at the end of his tour of the Caribbean where he attended a Duke of Edinburgh awards conference in Barbados.
