Drug accused bailed

A 41-year-old man accused of importing more than $100,000 worth of cannabis was released on $20,000 bail yesterday.
Terrance Vancouver Caines, of Tribe Road No. 2, Warwick, will be tried in Supreme Court for allegedly importing cannabis worth $103,000 and possession with intent to supply the drug.
Because Caines will b tried in Supreme Court, he was not required to plead to the charges.
Magistrate Ed King granted bail at $20,000 with one a surety and ordered all travel documents to be surrendered to the court.
Caines was also ordered to report to the Hamilton Police Station on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Caines was not represented yesterday but said he would have a lawyer for his November 4 mention date.
