Bermuda has been named the best Caribbean island for the second straight year by readers of influential travel magazine Conde Nast Traveler.

More than 20,000 Conde Nast Traveler readers took place in the magazine?s 17th annual poll.

Rounding out the top five Caribbean islands were St. John (US Virgin Islands), British Virgin Islands, St. Barts and Anguilla. This is the second straight year that the magazine has graded islands by region.

In 2003, Bermuda was also rated the best Caribbean island, beating out Nevis, BVI, St. John and St. Bart?s.

In 2002, Bermuda was rated the eight best island in the world and was the highest placed island from the Caribbean.

Maui, Bali, Vancouver, Bermuda and Mykonos and the Cyclades were judged the best islands in each region in 2004, with Maui topping the list as the world?s best island for the 11th straight year.
