St. George?s man pleads guilty to impaired driving

A St. George?s man who was more than twice over the legal drink-drive limit has been disqualified from driving for a year and fined $1,000.

Christopher Creamer, of Water Street, was spotted by Police driving a car along South Road in Paget in the early hours of July 29 this year.

Police noticed that Creamer?s car was moving from side-to-side on the road causing on-coming traffic to swerve in order to avoid a collision, Crown counsel Carrington Mahoney told the Magistrates? Court. The 52-year-old?s car was pulled over by Police and they noticed his eyes were glazed and he smelled of alcohol. Creamer admitted he had been drinking. His breath sample showed a reading of 207 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood ? the legal limit is 80 milligrams.

Creamer pleaded guilty to impaired driving and was disqualified from driving any vehicle for 12 months and given a $1,000 fine by Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner.
