Roads claim eighth road fatality

A single vehicle accident on Crow Lane at Corkscrew Hill claimed the life of a 32 year old Paget man yesterday.

The man's death marks Bermuda's eighth road fatality in 2001.

By presstime the man's name had not been released as Police were working to notify the next of kin.

A Police spokesman said the accident occurred shortly after five in the afternoon.

An ambulance took the man to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Another man was rushed to hospital after his cycle hit another on Front Street outside the Beach bar shortly before 10 p.m. There was no further information on the man's condition last night.

The other rider is understood to have been unhurt.
