Today is the day for nominations to be made for the next mayor of Hamilton - and current Mayor Lawson Mapp is rumoured to be running for the position again.

A source told The Royal Gazette last night that Mr. Mapp will be running again, however Mr. Mapp declined to comment, adding "all will be revealed" at the nominations at City Hall at 11 a.m.

Former National Liberal Party candidate Graeme Outerbridge has announced he also is to stand for mayor in the elections, coming up on October 9.
