Dangerous hole now covered over

Motorists and visitors to the Island are advised by the Police to keep their bags and personal belongings locked safely away after a spate of handbag snatches.

The Police are asking all members of the public to be vigilant, watch for any suspicious activity on the roads, and, in the event of an incident, to report the licence number, make or model of the vehicle, and description of the suspects involved to the nearest Police station.

Thief hits Warwick

A Pembroke resident had $510 in cash stolen from his Cedar Avenue home on Monday.

Around 1.15 p.m., Police went to the home and spoke with the complainant who stated that between 9 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. that day an unknown culprit got into the house and took the cash.

Inquiries into the incident are underway.
