The Bermuda Regiment will be stood down today after six days of working flat out to restore and rebuild the Island following Hurricane Fabian.

The Emergency Measures Organisation said it had been in full consultation with all primary Government departments and was very pleased with what had taken place to far.

The Regiment's objectives had been met, said a statement, and so, at a time still to be determined by Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Eddie Lambe and Minister for Labour and Public Safety Randolph Horton, soldiers would be released.
