PLP MP questioned over fight
Police have launched an investigation into a punch-up yesterday involving Government MP Arthur Pitcher and one of his employees.
The fight is alleged to have occurred shortly after 2 p.m. yesterday at the PLP backbencher's Southside construction site.
Last night Police would only confirm that a report had been filed and officers were dealing with the incident. But a source said a fight broke out at the Southside building project where 20 low-income housing units are being constructed on a Government contract.
The man said he was not sure what injuries the worker had received but another person from the site had taken him to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in a private car.
It is understood that Mr. Pitcher was released from custody in the early evening hours. Phone calls and faxes to Mr. Pitcher about the incident were not returned.
