Police are looking for a yellow truck which may have been used in an attempted robbery of an ATM machine on Saturday.

Thieves fled empty-handed after failing to uproot the machine by pulling it with the truck at Lindo?s Market in Devonshire.

A spokesman for the store said the ATM had been damaged but had remained standing during the foiled robbery at about 6 a.m. on Saturday morning.

?I think they had a truck, I don?t know how they hooked it up,? said Giorgio Zanol.

The Bank of Bermuda machine is now boarded up but should be back in action by today at the Watlington Road store.

A Police spokesman said: ?We are interested in speaking with anyone who may have seen a yellow truck or any suspicious activity in the area of Lindo?s Market between 3 a.m. and 5.45 a.m. on Saturday.? Anyone who can assist is asked to contact Hamilton CID on 295-0011.
