Two suspects arrested in connection with the murder of teenager Jason Lightbourne have been released in Police bail while investigations into the fatal shooting continue.

The men were arrested by detectives following the death of 18-year-old Mr. Lightbourne, who was shot while at the wheel of a car in Ord Road, Paget, in the early hours of July 23.

A Police spokesmen confirmed last night that the men who had been assisting with inquiries into the murder since last weekend have now been released on Police bail as the investigation continues.

Around 30 officers have been involved in gathering information and evidence as the hunt for the murder goes on.

Detectives are still appealing for witnesses to come forward, particularly anyone who was in the Ord Road and Sylvan Dell Road area of Paget between 3.30 and 4.30 a.m. on July 23.
