BAA crush hapless St. David’s
BAA 14St. David’s 0BAA went on a scoring blitz as they thrashed St. David’s.In an extremely one-sided encounter, ten man St. David’s were blown away by Wanderers, thanks to early goals from Jim Campbell, Brian McDevitt and Damian Mendoza.Martin Jones got in on the act and struck a hat-trick to give his side a six-goal cushion at the break.St. David’s were powerless during the second half as a further three goals from Mendoza, a second for Campbell and a second from Brian McDevitt were followed up by strikes by Chris Taylor and Rich Cumber and Tony Ward.Vasco 3North Village 1League leaders Vasco gave themselves extra breathing space at the top with a win over then second place North Village.Village played their typical possession game with Vasco looking to use their speed on the flanks and up front.Vasco opened the scoring through Quincy Aberdeen after a good build up play and cross from the left-wing.Village equalised soon after, with Nakia Smith dispossessing the defender close to goal and slotting home from close range.Rui Sebastioa scored from close range with 20 minutes to go before Marvin Belboda rounded out the scoring with a simple tap in after a good run from Rui Furtado on the left.Robin Hood 4MR Onions 2Robin Hood outduelled MR Onions to claim a well-deserved victory.Hood opened the game very strongly and scored after 20 minutes with a nicely taken effort by Johnny Neacsu after good play by Ray Butterfield on the right wing.Onions immediately responded through Naill Baillie but then had a man sent off for a handball in the box. Neacsu blasted the resulting penalty over the bar.The second half started with a lot of Hood pressure resulting in a goal from a free kick by Paul Towlson.Onions responded once again and pulled level after a well taken free kick from Phil Anderson.Late in the second half Hood took the lead when substitute Victor Richards scored a fine goal from 20 yards out after some nice passing work down the left wing.With the final kick of the game Brian Fubler closed the game at 4-2 when he tucked away a well-taken drive from just inside the box.Lobster Pot 7Valley FC 4Leading goalscorer Henry Santucci grabbed four goals as Lobster Pot beat Valley FC.Luis Rocha grabbed a brace, while Alfred Tweneboah also chipped in with a goal.Valley’s scorers could not be confirmed.Tuff Dogs 7Team Fire 1Lamaul Crofton struck a hat-trick to guide Tuff Dogs to a win over Team Fire.Aaron Brown, Mark DeCouto, Marcel Dill, and Mendell Outerbridge all struck for the winners, while Justin Robinson grabbed Fire’s only goal.West End United 5Lock ‘N’Key 2Frances DeSilva jr scored a hat-trick as West End United beat Lock ‘N’ Key.Eugene Simmons helped in the scoring department grabbing two, while Quinton Basden scored a brace in a losing cause.
