A thief who was caught in the middle of a break-in and beaten up by a Harrington Sound Road, Smith's resident is in Police custody awaiting charges.

The 40-year-old Pembroke man was treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after he was confronted by a 21-year-old.

The older man was arrested around 1.30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon and is assisting Police with their inquiries.
