Now that's service!
A disgruntled CableVision subscriber who copied a letter of complaint to The Royal Gazette, had his service problems solved - by the company's general manager.
Michael Marsh was so disillusioned with service last week that he was considering ending his relationship with the company altogether. Then he found CableVision general manager Jeremy Elmas himself at his door offering to fit his four converter boxes without charge.
"He also agreed to give me a guarantee in writing that the boxes were not fire hazards and that CableVision was fully responsible should this not be the case," Mr. Marsh wrote in a letter to the Editor on Wednesday.
And Cablevision corrected a fault in the line close to his home and Mr. Marsh said pictures on all four of his televisions are "vastly improved".
"I am pleased to report that CableVision reacted promptly, courteously and efficiently and that I am so far satisfied with the results," wrote Mr. Marsh. "It is unfortunate that it took a strong letter of complaint in order to receive such sudden and attentive service. I hope that my action will encourage CableVision to provide all Bermudians and Bermuda residents with the same sort of service."
