Three quarters of respondents to a Royal Gazette online poll say that Renee Webb was right to resign as Tourism Minister.

Ms Webb stepped down from the post on Tuesday citing "irreconcilable differences" with Premier Alex Scott.

Of the 615 people who took part in the unscientific poll on www.theroyalgazette.com, 73.8 percent said "yes" when asked if Ms Webb was right to resign. Just 11.4 percent said "no" while 14.8 percent said they did not know.

The poll ended yesterday.
