Constituents will have an opportunity to meet independent candidate Stuart Hayward at a public meeting tomorrow.

The meeting to be held at West Pembroke School at 7 p.m. is the third to be organised by the Pembroke Parish Council for the benefit of Pembroke voters. Mr. Hayward, a candidate for Pembroke West Central (number 18), is primarily advocating sustainable social and economic development for the Island.

"Bermuda's economic growth has created tremendous prosperity," he notes in a pamphlet distributed to voters last weekend. "However, it has also increased ground, air and water pollution, contributed to a shortage of affordable housing, caused a massive rise in the level of traffic on Bermuda's roads and contributed to the rise in youth violence and crime."

Mr. Hayward will be pushing for a long term plan to protect the environment if elected to Parliament.
