Visibly scared, a 17-year-old woman was the first person to be charged yesterday in connection with the violence aboard the last Friday.

Felicia Sasha Renee Harris, of Sayle Road, Smith?s, was granted bail of $5,000 with one surety to appear for mention on July 19 after she was charged with the indictable offence of intending to do grievous bodily harm to Ariaa Marshall, and unlawfully wounding Ariaa Marshall on July 2, in the territorial waters of Bermuda.

In court yesterday, Magistrate Archibald Warner said Harris did not have to plea because the charges must be answered in Supreme Court. Harris was represented by lawyer Elizabeth Christopher.

?I grant you bail to the amount of $5,000 with one surety of a like amount,? Mr. Warner said. ?As per the standard, you should stay away from the complainant in this case.?
