Seeking closer ties with constituents
Transport Minister Dr. Ewart Brown is aiming to form a closer relationship with his constituents if successful at the coming General Election. He said his promise was to focus on youth issues, crime, violence and affordable housing, as highlighted by residents in Warwick South Central, but said his personal objective was to establish a stronger partnership with the voters.
As the MP for the old district of Warwick West, he said he was familiar with much of the area and the people, but was excited at having part of Warwick East added into his constituency, now known as number 26.
And he said from the comments he had received, he was confident that both himself and the PLP would come out on top on July 24. He said due to his role as Transport Minister, his running partner MP Elvin James had dealt with parochialWarwick issues.
