Police responded to several break-ins in the Southampton area on Monday.

A home on Industrial Park Road was broken into after the owner left his house around 5.30 a.m. on Monday. The man returned home around 1.30 p.m. to discover that someone had entered the house and taken about $1,300 in cash.

That same day, between 8.30 a.m. and 2 p.m., someone entered a home on Benevides Lane. The trespasser took two chrome engine casings, gold jewellery and some articles of clothing.

A home on the Railway Trail was broken into at 10 a.m. after the owners went to sleep. When they woke up they noticed that $200 had been stolen.
