Transport Minister Ewart Brown is slated to unveil new buses tomorrow.

Seven of the 14 ordered are on the Island, was told on Friday.

The additions to the fleet will include new child safety warning features ? much the same as the distinctive yellow school buses in the US.

Indicators at the rear and in front will signal to traffic that people are disembarking and crossing the road.

In Parliament on Friday, Dr. Brown also trumpeted the work of the Public Transportation Board in having a record low number of buses out of order.

In a statement he said: ?Sound management and a commitment to excellence have achieved a record low of four buses from a fleet of 110 out of service during the weekend of 24th of April.?

Dr. Brown said the number of buses which were out of service when he took over the Ministry was ?incredible, with a peak of 54, out of a fleet of 106, out of service? at one time.
