A thief broke into a North Shore Road home and stole $3,000 worth of jewellery.

A Police spokesman said the complainant stated that she had left her home at around 9.30 a.m. on Monday and when she returned later, she found that her home had been broken into and a substantial amount of jewellery taken.

Inquires into the incident are underway. Anyone with information should call Police on 295-0011.
