A man appeared in Magistrates' Court yesterday charged in connection with a stabbing in the Court Street area on Thursday.

Colin Hendrickson, 47, of Dundonald Street, Pembroke, was charged with grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon - a pocket knife - on Thursday.

He was released on $2,500 bail, and ordered to return to the court on June 4.

The charges are in connection with an incident where a 22-year-old man was stabbed in the neck at Angle Street Social Club soon after midnight on Thursday.

The victim went to Spinning Wheel nightclub, where Police were called. He was then taken to hospital for treatment and was described as satisfactory on a general ward.
