Officers to be paid for strike

Prison officers will get paid for the time spent on strike - despite a Government injunction which forbade it.
The Prison Officers Association walked out on late last month but were served the injunction on the first day. The dispute dragged on for another three days.
But union spokesman Russ Ford told The Royal Gazette recently: "We have been assured we will be paid. It was assured through the Premier and Dame Lois Browne-Evans."
