Two Americans appeared in Magistrates' Court yesterday charged with attempted murder.

Eric Jason Barney, 29, and Jemaine Lamar Baker, 22, were charged with the attempted murder of 30-year-old Theodore Wolffe, including assault with intent to rob him.

The alleged incident occurred last Thursday, April 29, at the victim's Hamilton Parish home. Police arriving at the scene found Mr. Wolffe with a severe cut on his forehead. He was treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where yesterday he was listed in a stable condition.

It is understood Police have arrested three other men in connection with the incident but they did not appear in court yesterday.

Neither defendant was represented. They were not required to plead as they will be tried in Supreme Court.

Prosecutor Cindy Clarke objected to bail and Acting Senior Magistrate Carlisle Greaves remanded the pair in custody until May 12.

The Crown could not identify what state the two were from and only confirmed they were from the US.
