A driver smashed his car through a wall on Harbour Road at the weekend - landing in the harbour.

A Police spokesman said the accident happened on Harbour Road in Paget, near Lover's Lane.

When officers arrived at the scene the driver had already left the vehicle and the area.

"We could not say as to whether someone was hurt or not, as the driver of the vehicle was not on the scene when the Police arrived," said Police spokesman Robin Simmons.

Bollards were placed along Harbour Road where the wall had been knocked down and the car remained on the harbour foreshore for some time over the weekend.

Police are asking for any witnesses or people with information to come forward or contact them on 295-0011.
