A technologically-inclined thief managed to escape a Devonshire home with a telephone and a video camera on Wednesday afternoon.

Police attended the Border Lane residence around 3.40 p.m., where the complainant told them the culprit had broken into her house sometime between 1 p.m. and 3.15 p.m. that day, stealing a black V-Tech cordless telephone and a JVC video camera.

Inquiries into the incident are underway.
