Conference to be aired on BET
A US cable channel will air a special programme on the Women in Public Life conference held here in October last year.
Black Entertainment Television channel (BET) will air the special at 2 p.m. tomorrow, according to a Government statement.
"I was delighted that BET, which I know has a good following in the community, chose to film aspects of the Women in Public Life conference last October," said Telecommunications and Tourism Minister Renee Webb who chaired the conference.
"I know that many of us involved are pleased about the opportunity that BET is giving to share the proceedings of the Conference with the public. The important issues aired at the Conference, particularly those concerning the barriers women still face in playing a full role in societies, deserve a wider audience."
She urged the public to see the programme and said talks were on to have it air locally in the future.
