US Airways and American Airlines flights were diverted away from Bermuda yesterday due to high crosswinds

?There were some flight cancellations today, US Airways flight 1151 from Philadelphia, was diverted to Norfolk, Virginia,? Airport general manager James Howes said yesterday. The flight arrived at about 4 p.m. after the winds died down.

?American Airlines flight 686 from JFK took off, but was diverted back to New York,? Mr. Howes said.
