Bermuda's new Director of Public Prosecutions should be named by the end of this month, Deputy Governor Nick Carter said yesterday.
The deadline for nominations closed three weeks ago but interviews for the post have not been held yet, he said.
Mr. Carter would not reveal how many candidates have applied, nor whether any are from overseas, but he said the post was only advertised in Bermuda.
Acting DPP Kulandra Ratneser is barred from applying for the post because he is over the age limit of 70.
