Two men were arrested at the Hamilton Bus Terminal after a fight broke out between the pair.

The incident happened on Thursday afternoon when hundreds of school students were waiting to catch the bus.

An onlooker said: "There were about half a dozen Police officers and hundreds of school children.

"One man was face down on the road and both men were taken into custody."

Police spokesman Dwayne Caines said the two men in the incident were in a pre-existing court case and both were arrested, although Police did not witness them fighting.

"One of the men ran into Flybridge tackle and grabbed an 18-inch billyclub, usually used to knock out big fish, and was looking for the other man when he was arrested," said Mr. Caines.

"Both of them were transported to Hamilton Police station, arrested and bailed."
