Bermudian singer-songwriter Heather Nova gave birth to a baby boy last week.

Miss Nova, born Heather Frith, gave birth on January 26 at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital to a boy who has not been named, her sister Suzanna Frith told .

He was eight pounds 12 ounces and the family are planning on staying at their Island home for a couple of months, she said.

The recording artist has a loyal fan base in Europe and just released her fourth studio album ?Storm? in August of last year.
