Premier addresses Davos session
Premier Jennifer Smith yesterday led a brunch session at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
The session had 150 participants who discussed ‘what it takes to become an effective leader. Organised by the Women Leaders Initiative, discussions focused on the needs of female leaders.
A release from the Department of Communication and Information also said that the Premier has been “well received and has had the opportunity to attend various sessions, including the address given by Colin Powell, US Secretary State”.
The annual meeting included a platform for leaders to address the challenge of restoring trust and building confidence in governance as well as business.
The Premier is expected back at home this week but commented that the Forum has been very interesting and a good opportunity to meet with many of Bermuda's business and international partners as well as forge new relationships and heighten awareness of Bermuda.
