Good Samaritan sought
Police are searching for a good Samaritan who intervened in a fight between two women last Friday night in the Captain's Lounge bar.
The fight broke out between two women in their twenties shortly before midnight when both women were thrown out of the Reid Street watering hole.
However, last night Police spokesman Dwayne Caines said an unknown woman helped break up the fight and officers would like to speak to the woman about the events of that night.
The fight between the two St. George's women allegedly broke out when a 26-year-old woman confronted a 20-year-old woman in the bathroom and asked her why she is always bothering her sister.
The 20-year-old, who reported the assault to Police, said she tried to walk away but the older woman kicked and pushed her from behind sending her flying toward the club's the DJ booth.
The older woman then reportedly kicked her in the face and head creating welts and bruises until patrons and bouncers broke up the altercation.
The good Samaritan Police are seeking was one of these peacemakers.
Police would also like to talk to any other witnesses to the bar fight as an investigation into the alleged assault is continuing.
The woman who helped end the brawl and other witnesses are asked to contact Eastern CID at 295-0011 as soon as possible.
