BSX bounces back

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index reversed recent losses yesterday when it climbed 29.56 points in light trading.

The Index closed up 0.62 percent to close at 4,808.80 as Butterfield Bank gained 50 cents to close at $55.50 on volume of 590 shares.

Also gaining was LOM (Holdings) Ltd., which rose 35 cents or 13.2 percent to close at $3 on volume of 3,400.

Argus Group, which yesterday announced it was buying the Bermuda-based annuity and life insurance arm of the Tremont Group, was unchanged at $13 as 300 shares changed hands.
