Index slips in moderate trading week
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index fell 10.077 points last week to close at 4,883,21.
During a moderate week of trading, BF&M led the advances as it gained $1.25 to close at $17.50 as investors traded in 12,373 shares.
Butterfield Bank rose 50 cents to close at $56.50 on volume of 28,769 shares, Bermuda Commercial Bank fell 95 cents to close at $7.55 on volume of 8,000 shares and Bermuda Commercial Bank Warrants fell 15 cents to close at $1.10 as investors traded in 500 shares.
LOM declined 80 cents to close at $2.65 on volume of 500 shares, Belco fell $4.50 to close at $23 on volume of 5,312 shares and Watlington Waterworks fell $1.40 to close at $12.60 on volume of 1,000 shares.
Argus traded in 500 shares to close unchanged at $14.50 as 500 shares changed hands, MediaHouse Preferred traded in 100 shares to close at $4.50 and KeyTech traded in 700 shares to close unchanged at $15.50.
The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX last week was $2,052,260.40 and the overall volume of shares was 57,754.
