The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange rose 12 points yesterday after Bank of Butterfield's stock gained ground.

Bermuda's oldest bank's share price rose 50 cents to a new 52 week high of $36. No other stocks traded.

The index closed up 0.45 percent at 2,725.00 on a volume of 4,500 shares worth $161,975.00.
