The The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index yesterday jumped 38.03 points, or 1.02 percent, as Bank of Butterfield shares closed at $45.50.

Bank of Butterfield investors traded in 1,525 shares, while Belco Holdings Ltd moved up 75 cents on volume of 2,100 shares to close at 40.50.

The only other issue to change price was Argus Insurance Company moving up 50 cents on volume of 1,500 shares to close at 26.75.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $194,561.00 and the overall volume of shares was 5,125 to close at 3,774.33.
