The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index yesterday fell 23.66 points to close at 3,173.90.

Island Press shares led the movement with shareholders at the parent company of the Bermuda Sun newspaper trading 7,750 shares while pushing down the price 50 cents to $5.50.

Butterfield Bank investors bought and sold 4,168 shares, pushing them up in trading by 50 cents to $41.

Meanwhile, Kentucky Fried Chicken Bermuda Ltd. shares dropped 75 cents to $4.25 on trading of 1,000 shares.
